Hey, I'm bskinner. Recently I saw this one petition, and it got me kinda mad and
kinda confused.
Anyway, here's the petition:

Petition: I think they should take our email address OFF cause people who say
"I forgot my password" and write another person's name GETS YOUR PASSWORD
Well, I can see this person hasn't understood the rules, and I don't think even
if it got enough votes City Hall would do what it asks.
First of all, no one can get your password using the "I forgot my password" tool unless they have access to
your email account.
Second of all, they could only change the email your password is sent to if they
are
already on your Whyville account, which would mean they would already know your password.
I believe if you take the time to read, it says that if you give a fake email
address to Whyville, then the tool WON'T be able to give you your password back. And if someone goes and puts your username
into the tool, it sends the password to your email address,
NOT theirs.
