Hello, my fellow Whyvillians!
I've been here only one month, but already I'm starting to notice some things
about Whyville. And I'll put it all in a letter to the citizens of Whyville,
just to illustrate how important these things are.
Dear Whyvillians,
Whyville is a lot like school. There's peer pressure, for one thing.
In school, they tell you that peer pressure is bad, that you have to chase your
own dreams. But in Whyville, am I seeing people who are choosing what they like to wear?
The answer is no. I've seen girls here that dress too much like Britney Spears
(and we all know what happened to her).
I've also noticed that citizens don't like some other citizens, just because
they think that the other citizen is ugly!!
Ever hear the saying, "Never judge a book by its cover?" That's seldom used
here. We should start doing it!
We can start by saying hi to talking newbies (newbs that are allowed to chat). Newbies here
are a bit insecure, like sixth graders in a middle school for the first time. We
should be friendly to them and not terrorize them.
These are my worries about Whyville. I don't want it to end up with newbies crying
because someone called them a bad name or everyone so insecure they're not sure
where they fit in. Unfortunately, this is too true today.
PLEASE REFORM!
Thanks a ton,
