I've "got that rainbow feel... But the rainbow has a beard" *humms*

By chance I heard that awesome song, SWLABR ("She Walks Like A Bearded Rainbow") by Pete Brown after putting on a goatee and rainbow hair here in Whyville, to test just how much appearance matters on here before people will talk to you.

BabyPowdr here... well, best known now as "bearded lady" or "freak".

Excellent! Why a goatee, you ask? Well, quite honestly... I find the goatee on here to be quite attractive. I mean, wow. That thing is hot. As a joke with a friend I bought one to be hot too, and ended up liking the thing so much I never took it off, but aside from that aspect, I realized that this was a great way to do an experiment. Ninety-one days of wearing a beard, to see the general response. Well now, things never go as planned.

Before I put on my little goatee, I got comments on how cool my hair was and how I was "pretty" on Whyville. Well, "Such good responses / But the picture has a mustache..." and yet I was still mildly attractive. Odd, isn't it just? But I did get some of the nasty comments I was expecting. Things like, "she-male," "freak," "crossdresser," "lesbian" (I don't see how my face can possibly show my sexual preferences, but oh well... think what you want.), "ugly," and so on and so forth. Did this hurt me? No. I actually didn't care for once that people were putting me down. Partly, I guess, because I love my goatee, and partly because I realize some people are just ignorant. Plain and simple.

I got some weird y-mails too, but in chat, I found a lot of people struck up conversations with me to ask about my goatee. Some girls in Dr Leila's were considering "growing" some virtual facial hair.

So yeah, my plan backfired, but oh well. I still had fun, and realized that generally speaking Whyville is still a friendly community. And my friends are not shallow dweebs. Not a one of them ditched my because of my face.

But, my real life friends, whom I showed my rainbow hair and goatee, were not so understanding. I had my MSN display picture as my new Whyville face for a bit, and people snickered about it. I don't care, because "So many fantastic colours, I feel in a wonderland... Many fantastic colors, makes me feel so good." Basically, I love rainbows and such, but deeper in, individuality is special to me. I like diversity. Black and white with sharp edges is boring... let's get some liquid rainbows out there!

I wish it were physically possible for me to grow a beard. Dewwd, that'd be so awesome and hot. Well, maybe scratch that hot off, some people would be mighty frightened. *shrugs* But oh well... I can go get some dreads like my good friend Giggler01 has opened my eyes to. Gnarly, man... far out dude... like totally oh wow, awesome!

Next time I'm going to conduct a study on appearance, I am going to change two of the things that determine the outcome... LoL, I forget the word for that. Okay, #1 -- Use a less well-known username, for starters, and #2 make my face, uhh... creative, shall we call it. :)

Well... I'm out. It's '60s and '70s tracks tonight and I don't want to miss anything good. Of course, if I had a record player I wouldn't need to rely on the radio for my tune-age. Nothing beats the classics, eh?

My last message: Don't judge a book by its cover, or a person by her threads... like, dewwd. Judge not lest ye be Judged! Ha!

OoOoh, AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" with Bon Scott! *tear* Poor old guy...*dances off singing*
