Hey, this is preasent4! I have some really cool information about constellations.

Look at the night sky. On a clear night, you can see hundreds of pinpoints of light called stars. Human beings have gazed at these same stars for thousands of years. Some people made shapes and patterns by connecting the brighter stars.  Today we call these patterns constellations.

If you visit a planetarium, you may see a program about constellations. It may show you Orion the Hunter or Gemini the Twins. These constellations may be easier to see in the planetarium than outdoors.

Constellations only show the things they represent. Ancient people thought up constellations in order to remember important people and events that took place. It also helped them keep track of what direction they were headed.

Another interesting thing from constellations are zodiac signs. Everyone has a zodiac sign, and which one it is depends on your birthday. A zodiac sign indicates the time the sun shines through a constellation. You can find out your zodiac sign by looking in an almanac.

I found out most of this info from the library. This is preasent4 signing off!!!

Peace and love for all,
preasent4
