Freedom is a choice
That you make for yourself
Making your own decisions
And not listening to anyone else.
But should there be a cost
To have this item to hold?
Should it be dirt cheap, or valuable
Something like silver or gold?
Imagine in a war-torn country
The habitants lifeless and bruised
Would you surrender your life
So that many others wouldn't lose?
Now seeing yourself in class
Going through hours of school
If given the chance to drop out,
Would you, because it was cool?
Flashing back to home life
A place to work and play
Would you give up everything you have
So you could just run away?
Think if you have your freedom,
Are you glad that you gave?
Would you rather have nothing
Than to have become a slave?
Freedom is all up to you
We all know that's a fact.
But you really must consider
To think before you act.
