Achoo! Achoo! Sometimes around Whyville you see people with large spots on their faces.
They are constantly saying, "Achoo!" before each word. You should stay well away
from them... Or should you?
Thankfully, the worst of WhyPox has departed our lovely town, but you can still
see some fellow citizens wondering around with the terrible disease. You'll be
all right if you have already had it (for now) but for those who are new to
Whyville, here are some helpful tips...
1) You're new. You don't know your way around and you have to read instructions
before playing games. Aww, man! You have to wait 5 whole days before you can
chat! (That's good, though. Use this time to check out the games and see how
well you can do them on your own.)
Before you start making your face, look around
Whyville until you find someone with WhyPox. When you have found that person,
walk on them. (To click on them without the blue square, hold alt then click
their face). Doing this will give you the disease. (Editor's Note:
Or will it? Did you test this, Nessie12? So far, Whyville citizens who
have investigated the Pox thoroughly can't prove that touching someone with the
disease affects whether you'll get the Pox or not!)
2) You are thinking right now, "I don't want WhyPox!!" but trust me, this will
work. Once you have walked on their head, you will have WhyPox. The spots and
sneezes don't come until the next day. By then, you will only have to wait 4
days until you can chat. (Still good.) So, you'll be sneezing and you'll have little
pink spots on your face.
The reason I'm giving you WhyPox is so that the worst will be over before you
can even chat! When you can chat then, you won't be saying "Achoo" every two
seconds when you are trying to say something.
3) As the days go by, your spots will get larger and redder. You will be sneezing more
often, too.
Once you have reached the extreme point, it's all a smooth sail from
there! Once your WhyPox are gone, you cannot get them again (for now).
If you follow these instructions, even
before you are allowed to chat, your WhyPox will have disappeared!!
4) Congratulations! You survived WhyPox, and now you can chat with no bother!!
I really hope you found those tips helpful. This is Nessie12, signing off.
