I am writing an article in regard to Outgoing's article "Under God."

I am a Christian, and I thank her for not being insulting. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm writing because she said kids DON'T care about politics. I think instead of discouraging kids to NOT care, we should encourage them TO care, because kids SHOULD care.

I'm twelve years old, and I watch the news with my parents every weekday morning. I read newspapers, and I care about what goes on in the world of politics.

I bet if Outgoing went to a political convention, she would find at least a few kids there, and not just because their parents were going!

If kids don't learn about politics when they're young, they'll be less likely to vote when they get older. And then they won't have any control over the future of their country.

So I say kids SHOULD care, and we should encourage them to!
