Hi, I'm Clamie47, and in this article I would like to bring up a VERY common
issue... It's so common, you many not think of it as an issue. But look closely
in Whyville and you'll notice it. It's really important to Whyville.
Say you're looking at the city records. You're thinking... I wonder if any one's account
is called ShotHeart... So you look it up. What you see is this:
What is your first thought?
A) Noob! Should of guessed.
B) I wonder what her picture looks like
C) Pitiful salary
D) Wonder if she needs help...
E) Face is probably as bad as her salary...
F) Too busy laughing to think or say anything
G) None of the above.
You're probably guessing this ShotHeart is an ugly noob. Well, what do you think when
her picture loads and she looks like this:
Maybe she looks like this: Or what if she looks like this:
Now what do you think of ShotHeart? You don't think she's very noobish, or an
idiot. Nope, probably not.
But those faces aren't actually ShotHeart. They're my friends Ocea14, Krystal5,
and Kigigal12. But what if you saw one of them in a chat room? What is the first
thing that comes to your mind?
This is ShotHeart's real face:
Say you're hanging in the beach or sunroof or wherever you hang most. Well,
just picture ShotHeart coming up to you and asking you to be friends or asking
for instructions to a Spin game! What are you going to say to her!?!
Say one of my friends, Kigigal12, Krystal5 or Ocea14 (the peeps above) came up to
you and asked the exact same question. Would you say the same thing? Or would
you say another thing...?
The main point I'm trying to get across is, are you saying mean things to noobs? Or
to people you think are ugly?
Why do you do this?
I'm guessing it's probably because you think that because you're prettier or
handsomer means that your better, and since
you're better you can be rude to whomever you choose... well, THAT'S NOT RIGHT!
Have you ever heard the saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover'? You do know
what you're doing now, right? Judging people by their faces!!!
A lot of people like my face, and I like my face. So on Whyville I fit in. I
feel beautiful and unique in my own way and I like it... but I know what it feels
like to be called names and be teased. In real life, I am short -- almost every kid in
my school
has had their chance to tease their heads off at me and it's not fun, let me tell
you that!
Everyone has certain faults to them, and on Whyville you have
the chance to delete those faults and be yourself! But if people are being mean
to you because of your style -- it can discourage your style and you won't have
the chance to be yourself on Whyville or enjoy yourself!
To finish this off, I say: (1) Don't tease people on Whyville for any sort of
reason, and (2) Be yourself; even if people do tease you, you have the right to
be yourself!
