A few months ago, I started a program called WAVED. I started it because I was
concerned about other Whyvillians and how they were risking themselves by dating
online. Lately some people have been asking to join and other people have been
telling me to stop. I'm not sure who I should be believing, so I wrote this
article for feedback on WAVED.
WAVED stands for WHYVILLIANS AGAINST VIRTUALLY EVIL DATING (Evil is just there
as a space filler, don't worry, I'm not that bad!) Our logo is Waving away
Virtual dating.
I know everyone has their own opinion, and this is mine. I think online dating
stinks of rotten dung, In short, of course. I could rant on about the dangers
all day, but I will list only a few:
You may meet in person, and they aren't what you expected them to be
Things can go as far as kidnappings, you know!
You don't have to give away your address for them to be able to figure out where
you live, what teams you play with or malls you hang out at or whatever --
little details go a long way!
So, now do you people see the light?!? It isn't all hearts and love, it can also
be ways to
get your info and even get you!
The only reason I'm being harsh is because I'm trying to really get into everyone!
I want you all just to think about this and send me your thoughts, comments and
concerns.
