New Zealand

'Ello everyone!

There are lots of different people around the world -- well, here's a little bit about where I come from! I think I'm the only person in Whyville from NZ...

New Zealand is at the bottom of the world, kind of between Antarctica and Australia. We get cold winds from Antarctica.

New Zealand is made up of three islands: North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island. To get to one of our biggest cities, Auckland, from Los Angeles in the U.S. it takes a 14-hour flight. Our capital is Wellington, on the North Island.

We have Prime Ministers, not Presidents. At the moment, Helen Clark is our leader, she is in the Labour Party (wierd name, eh?!).

We have a little theme park called Rainbow's End. It's very small compared to Disneyland.

Our dollar is having a record-breaking low! It's 41 cents for one American dollar! So it's a great vacation place to go!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my wonderful country! One last thing... NZ doesn't have sheep walking around everywhere, like some people think! It's a lot like America! (I've been there so I know!)

This is Tech-Girl signing off! =)
