Why, hello Whyville! The weather doesn't change much in Whyville, but the senate
race sure does! Might I say the last couple months were definitely packed full
of crazy twists that no one was expecting... but it is all over (for now) and
we have our winner, SONNER! He worked hard throughout the race, gave a good
fight, and it all paid off last week when Whyvillians went to the polls and
selected him to be Whyville's third-ever Senator.
I had the great privilege to interview him this week, and here
it is, exclusive and HOT off the press!
Question: What was it like being in the top three? Were you nervous,
scared, excited, etc?
Answer: I was scared of not making the top three because I made my petition later
than the rest, but I managed to keep on advertising and finally made it.
Question: How do you plan to achieve your goals of apartments in place of plots,
and lowering the price to restock face parts? Also, what are some of your other
ideas?
Answer: I want to have a poll for plot owners about whether to keep or get rid of
plots. People do want apartments but we can't have both. I'm not sure if
apartments are possible yet, but I hope so. For lowering face-part restocking
prices, basically I just want to tell Akbar or whomever runs the factory to lower
the prices. I just spent 35,000 clams restocking and that's simply unfair for
other people who maybe can't afford that much.
Question: BabyPowdr was asked if she would give up writing for the Times if she
was elected; however, you are also an accomplished writer, now that you are
elected would you still submit articles?
Answer: I'd of course still write articles for the Times, about events in
Whyville, etc.
Question: Do you participate in any activities on Whyville such as Trivia Hour
and Media Hour?
Answer: I participate in Trivia Hour and hopefully one day I'll get to host
it. I also participate in the Solstice Safaris and I'm in the Smart Car Top
10.
Question: You have been on Whyville for a long time, and most likely have a lot
of experience. Do you think that this experience will give you a better
knowledge of what Whyvillians want?
Answer: I have already a good knowledge about what Whyvillians want because you
read it in the Times; but if you don't read the paper, you should. I also read the BBSes
based
on Times articles
Question: What kinds of duties do you have as senator?
Answer: My duty is to be the voice of Whyville and tell the City Workers what
Whyville want. I really want to have a Times Building running again.
Question: Well, thank you for the interview, is there anything else you would
like to say?
Answer: I'd just like to thank the people who voted for me. Also to all the
people who said I would never win, I got the last laugh. :P LoL. Thanks.
Well, there it is, your one-of-a-kind interview with Whyville's newest senator.
Hope you enjoyed it.
As for me, I'm off to think of some witty remarks....
Happy Whyville's New Senator Day,
