As you can see on my face, I look on the "strange" side. I have a
big ol' hairy
unibrow, giant eyes, a beard and a few other features.
The beard was not meant to copy BabyPowdr's bearded look that she wrote about
in the Times a few weeks back. But I did like how it looked on her and
admired her wearing it, so I tried this on.
Since putting on this new look, I've gone around Whyville, talking randomly to people.
Seventy percent of the people
I talked to said things like, "Hey Look! It's the Bearded Lady!"
The other 30% were incredibly nice. They talked to me like they would to anybody
else. Those people (most of them) got themselves an award from me of 50 clams.
They didn't know they were going to get clams; they chatted with me nicely out of
sheer kindness and politeness.
The point of this social experiment was to see how many people were
discriminatory and how many were kind
to everybody. I think there were way too many rude Whyvillians.
Please, look behind the hair and beard, and learn to see the right way.
