I am a secret keeper,
And secrets do I keep.
You know that you can trust me,
You'll never hear a peep.

I'll give my full attention
As you tell me the tale.
And then, with my agreement,
A promise will prevail.

You can tell me that you went
To that party on Saturday night.
I'll understand why you did it
Even if it wasn't right.

It only takes a whisper
To tell me why you cry.
The only ones to ever know
Are forever you and I.

And I won't tell a single soul
That you didn't go to the mall.
What harm was it to go on a date
Than to never have at all?

I've heard a lot of stories
About things that might not be real.
But only I know the real truth,
Except my lips are sealed.

I am a secret keeper,
And secrets do I keep.
These whispers go until the grave,
You'll never hear a peep.
