Lately, I have been having quite the writer's block, a phrase which means, I
HAVEN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME BEEN ABLE TO WRITE AN ARTICLE ON A DECENT TOPIC! All
right...! Now then, I have finally decided upon a subject for my literary
pleasure. *Ouu Ahh!* Yes, finally; Bracelet has a topic! Okay, okay, on with the
show!
I have decided to base my article on not only one excellent Times Writer, but
several of the more recent citizens that have brought us joy through their
writing. I went around to many of the public places in hopes of fairly selecting
writers to mention.
Although I was surprised to find that many citizens claimed to not read the
Times (shame on them!), many were very helpful. Since I cannot mention every
single writer, poet and photographer, I have decided to choose four article
writers. Hopefully no one will be offended, because this is simply a chance to
pay them homage, it is not to say that everyone does not deserve an honorable
mention. Talking about ALL the great Times writers and poets and so on would
make this article appallingly long, now wouldn't it?
TIKE - According to the reliable City Records, this unbelievably excellent
writer hasn't visited us since December 19, 2003, at 8:12 p.m. He was an
exceptional writer, bringing us into the light on very controversial topics,
most notably homosexuality. Alas, my friend hasn't written for us in such a long
time, but we will always remember him.
Googles - A well-known and utterly outstanding designer as well as
Times Writer, Googles seems to have (yes, that's right!) visited us very recently! After
consulting the City Records, I was shocked to see that she visited on June 12,
2004, at 3:06 PM. Wow! Perhaps it isn't really her in this account anymore, but
one can only hope. She wrote us 23 (you read correctly!) articles on fashion,
upcoming events, and various help articles. She was amazing!
Editor's Note Last we heard, Googles had given her account to a pair
of friends who were maintaining the parts so that all Whyvillians would continue
to be able to wear her classic threads. Interestingly, Googles is
still one of the top ten richest Whyvillians!
BabyPowdr - BabyPowdr's last visit was June 16, 2004, at 10:06 p.m. Her last
article was April 17 and it was her senate platform. Her first-ever published
article came out on October 25, and it was all about face parts! Since then, she
has brought us 30+ articles on a wide assortment of topics from fashion to
Nestle and respecting your elders, and many more!
JasmineK - JasmineK's last visit was, at the time this article was written, June
15, 2004 at 1:06 p.m. She has visited many times (1999!) since July 25, 2003,
when she first joined. She has written 33 articles on, again, a wide range of
different issues such as soccer, a lab report on how strictly city workers are
punishing citizens for their crimes, a how-to article on how to write
interesting articles, and many more.
Thus it is clear, and perhaps a relief, that my article is coming to an end. I
would like to say to the four Times Writers listed above, thank you for the hard
work and dedication that you have given at one time or another, to us and to the
Whyville Times.
I also would like to congratulate them. Hopefully, receiving this mention will
encourage them to continue to write more exciting and wonderful articles!
Again, sorry I could not mention every single writer ever published, but that
would be rather impossible. I'd like to conclude this article by encouraging all
of you to attempt to write an article for the Whyville Times. It is very
satisfying to be published, and it is also an outstanding way to get your
message across. Give it a try!
-Bracelet :)
Editor's Note: Unfortunately, you won't be able to do a regular search of most of these writers, because the search tool in the Times gets overwhelmed by how many wonderful stories they've written! The good news is, we expect to have an improved search tool sometime this summer. Cross your fingers...
