Ooh, I'm so excited! This is my first Senator Candidate Debate... I can't wait to see who will win, but mostly, who has the best ideas for our precious Whyville!

I arrived at the Greek Theatre at about 3:15 p.m. Whyville Time. It was already pretty crowded with fans of Deriko, JoelGC and DivaSis, and citizens who were waiting to decide until after the debate! I was lucky to get a seat in the front row to see all the action up close and hear it the best.

When I entered, Deriko was already there, but he left shortly after my arrival. At around 3:30, JoelGC showed up. Close to 3:40, he was pulled on stage! Everyone was super excited now that they knew City Workers were amongst us. At 3:48, a message showed up on the stage: "The Senator Debate will begin in 12 minutes!" and cheers and applause came out from the crowd. Somewhere between 3:45 to 3:55, Deriko came back and DivaSis arrived, along with City Hall and City Worker scyllaCat!

At 4:00, the questioning began. I wrote a detailed description of what I read throughout the debate, but the Editor decided it's probably better for our readers to check out the transcript, so you know exactly what was said. You can interpret everything on your own!

I asked all three of the candidates if they agreed with me on this statement, which I Y-mailed them:

Me: I believe that Club Why is for oldbies, yet newbies join Whyville, get clams from friends, and join Club Why. Do you agree with me when I say that there should be a 90-day age limit on Club Why, along with the 1,000 clams?
DivaSis: Well, I don't understand why there should be a limit. If it was for Y-mail helpers only I think there should be a limit, but pretty much what Club Why is is just a chat room and disco. So I don't know, is that what you mean?
Me: Yes, I just thought that because there are newbies everywhere and everything, there should be one room for oldbies. I figured that's why it's so highly priced, so that newbies can work until they have enough money, not until their friends give them enough to join in.
DivaSis: Then maybe there should be a chat room for oldbies.

JoelGC: Yes I agree.

Deriko: Any citizen that has worked up the effort to raise 1,000 clams in a short amount of time is definitely an honorable citizen. Remember, newbies are citizens who don't know much about Whyville. However, someone who's managed to earn up to 1,000 clams in less than 90 days deserves to be in Club Y. :-) However, I will continue to think about this idea.

Well, there you have it! Who will it be? JoelGC? Deriko? DivaSis? We'll find out soon enough!!!

This is Smileon7 signing off, saying, ???Cast your final votes NOW!???! Peace, Love, and Sauerkraut. :)
