People all around Whyville are just dying for the lastest trends. Have you ever been in the Trading Post when it is so crowded that the only thing you can see is "Tiamo for sale, Work It, Dirty little Secret! press 8888!!!!!!" or "Any one have Rainbow Roudolph or Candy Stripe???? press 1111 I WILL PAY CLAMS!"

Everyone is just dying for these hairs and shirts and everyone is wearing them. Well, here's a little story on how I chose to go the other direction, how I figured that wearing the lastest trends isn't always good.

When I first saw the hair Work It I wanted it right away. Who doesn't want to dress the latest fashion? So I paid about 300 clams for it and put it on right away.

Later, as I was strutting my stuff around Whyville, I noticed that everyone had a Work it on too. It was just all the same: Goddess Eyes, Pout Lips, and the Work it hair. Nobody's face had unique personality, or any source of uniqueness. I couldn't even find myself in the chatroom because everyone looked so much alike.

That's when I started my hunt to be different. I tried being an elf, a goth, a dog, a pixie... but nothing worked out for too long. I couldn't even find any non-popular hairs until I found two perfect hairs: Scriver and Cellar Door. I wore these around and everybody was astonished to see something new.

"What's your hair called?" they would say, or "I like your look!"

I was unique, as they would say, I was different. That makes me happy. Now I've learned that you don't always have to dress in the latest fashions to be a beautiful Whyvillian!
