Hello. For all of you who missed the Meet the Makers meeting last week, or
aren't a member of Club Why, it's your lucky day! I am here today to tell you
about it.
I entered Club Why at 5:54 p.m. WhyTime (6 minutes early) on Tuesday, June 6
(the day of the meeting). By this time, many Whyvillians had gathered in the
room, waiting for a City Worker (CW for short) to show up. The first one to
arrive was scyllaCat, and neutral came about five minutes later.
We started to talk about some hot topics on Whyville, and then I wondered, "When
are we going to 'Meet the Makers'?"
Neutral told me that all the CWs are the makers of Whyville, but mark, Jen, and
superid are the original founders of Whyville, and they do most of the
programming, etc. But neutral and scyllaCat were the only ones to show up.

They told us about a few things that they planned to add/change on Whyville. The
first thing on their 'to-do' list has been adding the Newbie Center. This is
already here. Ever since it was put in, many newbies (and other citizens!) have
become more aware of things on Whyville and feel a bit more comfortable.
Also, another thing on their list that has already been accomplished is more
chat rooms, like the places you can now teleport to, including Mars, Earth,
Saturn, the moon, and the newspaper room. Get there by saying 'teleport moon'
and so forth.
But there is another thing that they want to change that has not yet been
accomplished. It is the Welcome Screen when you go to 'www.Whyville.net'. The
CWs are planning on creating a new design and providing more information about
the site there, so it attracts more people to come into Whyville and make
accounts.
We also discussed the Senate Election. The two CWs told me that DivaSis was in
the lead by a bunch of votes at that point. I do not know how many more votes
DivaSis had than the other candidates, because the CWs did not say an exact
number. So please, do not ask me this, because personally, I have no clue. ;)
Unfortunately, my computer won't let me take screenshots at the moment, so that
is why I did not take one. I really wanted to show you the scene of the meeting.
Ah, well.
I hope I told you a little bit about what is to come here in Whyville!
