On Monday morning, at about 2:00am WST, I was just searching about Whyville seeing what was going on around town. That's when I went to the new Newbie centre to see if anyone was there. I found other citizens there, and one of them just hopped onto the helper desk. This person was not a y-mail helper!

I found this quite odd, because usually the helper desk is barricaded, saying that only certified y-mail helpers may go atop the helper desk.

I also tried to go on the helper desk, and I too found myself sitting there!

Also, citizens could also just hop onto the chair, which was very unusual as well, since in normal situations, you are only able to sit on this prized chair if a Y-mail helper invited you up there.

Then came the weirdest part of all.

We could talk freely in the room, and everyone else could see your chat bubbles. Usually you can only talk freely if a y-mail helper is around, and they would be the only ones that are able to see your chat bubble. If a y-mail helper is not in the room, then no one can see your chat bubble, and a message bubble pops up to tell you just that.

Although it was very strange and didn't make a lot of sense, as I have said in the past, these errors are made up by the fun everyone has. I pretended to be a psychiatrist, with fellow citizen FairyKiya acting as my patient, sitting in the helper chair. It was great fun making up make-believe diseases, and it gave both of us a good laugh.

I'm fairly sure that this was a one-time thing, and it most likely won't ever happen again, so I am very glad I had the chance to enjoy the fun while it lasted. Soon the Newbie Center will be back to normal with all the regular rules and regulations set in place.
