Hey again! I know a lot of you were wondering why I was dressed "unfashionably"
a while ago. Fact is, I was curious to see how people react to others' looks.
It started with people Y-mailing me saying "Whoa! What happened to your face!?"
and "You looked waaay better before." I guess some people didn't like my new
face?
Then, after I had the face for a while, I went into lots of chatrooms to get
more direct responses. Many people recognized me as a Y-mail Helper, but some
people didn't. Those said, "Eeeww, ugly nooB," or other things I don't care to
repeat. And a lot of the time when I went into the Newbie Center, people said, "I
don't want to be helped by a newbie!"
That goes to show a lot of people hate
newbies, or even people who "look" like them!
Some conversations were good; some people did not seem to mind my face, even
those who didn't know I was a Y-mail Helper.
And some conversations were just weird. Some girls asked me, "Would you go out
with me?" Even with that look! I guess they were desperate. Now you know why I don't online date!
Well, now it's over and I'm back to normal, but I will never forget my experience
as a newbie-oldbie!
I hope you all feel a little different about newbies now. Hey, I challenge you
to take the same test I did for a week and see how you feel afterward!
One last note: I know this idea is more Deriko's than it is mine, since he was
doing it before me. I just wanted to try it, and make my results public.
