Why a Makeover?

Something happened to me in Sportplatz that really bugs me! A girl who I knew was a newbie approached me. She had brown hair and a spotted face. She was saying Achoo, and clearly had Why-Pox. Her eyes were up high, lips down low, her neck not totally touching her head.

Her: Hi.
Me: Hello.
Her: ASL? (Age sex location)
Me:13/F/USA, you?
Her: I'm the same.
Me: Cool.
Me: I live in N.Y.
Her: I do too.

I was sitting there, thinking, this can't be. I was suspicious of what she was saying already. So I continued the conversation. There's more to me than the fact that I'm 13 and live New York, LoL.

Me: I live near Niagara, how about you?
Her: I do too.
Me: So, what music do you listen to?
Her: Rock.

I had a feeling that she just said that because she saw how I was dressed and figured that's what I listen to. Then I thought, maybe she just wants friends or something, so she was lying about herself so I would like her. No one really needs to do that -- just be yourself!

However, what happened next shocked me, and made me realize how so wrong I was. I was about to ask her, "Are you lying about yourself for some reason?" But before I could, she said:

Her: Can you give me a makeover?
Me: No, I will not go on your account and make you look nice, it's wrong.
Me: Just move your eyes down, and put on glossy lips w/o nose -- that would look cute on you. Look those up.
Her: My friends do.
Me: Do what?
Her: Give makeovers.
Her: Well, thank you anyway.
Me: Not a problem.

She just wanted it to seem that we were good friends so I'd feel like I was doing a friend a favor!

I know she knew not to do makeovers; it's in the chat license test. In fact, I was about to report her when she left. Unfortunately, I can't report her now or at her City Record, since the City Workers won't see what she said to me in chat. I hope someone was watching the chat room so she got taped.

Whyville is not about having a good face. I worked hard to make a decent face. Cheating never helps. If people don't like you because of how you look, they're not worth being your friend.
