Married? Are You Crazy?

Some of ya'll have heard the latest on people getting "married" on Whyville. Well, I think that it is kind of wrong for citizens to get married here!

I have interviewed some citizens about what they think of this situation. But first, I think it is wrong for people to get married on Whyville because you don't really know the person and you don't know how old the person is! They could be lying about their age!

Also, some of you that are getting "married" may be way too young! And, there are some people with "babies". What??? How is this happening? Why would you want to get married and have a baby?

First I interviewed Mariah.

Me: Hello, Mariah. How do you feel about this whole thing on people getting married?
Mariah: I feel that internet marriages are sooo wrong! You don't know how old the person is, and they don't know how old you are. They could be like 23 and you could be like 9. It's just not right.
Me: OK. And are you married?
Mariah: No, and I wouldn't if anybody asked me.
Me: Do you know anyone that is married? You don't have to name names if you don't want to.
Mariah: My friend Brent. (Name changed.)
Me: Does he have a baby?
Mariah: Not at the moment, but he said he would have one as soon as he could find one.
Me: That brings me to my next question, what do you think about the babies?
Mariah: I think it is really wrong, because a baby is supposed to be about love, and if you have a baby on Whyville that is soooo wrong because you don't love that person -- you don't even know who they are or what they look like or what they're really like. You just have a baby that means nothing.
Me: Would you ever have a baby?
Mariah: No, it's wrong and I wouldn't, because I don't even know that person. If anyone did it that way in real life, it's almost like prostitution, so I wouldn't do it on Whyville.
Me: Thank you for your time!

Then I interviewed blarpwlms.

Me: What do you think about Whyville citizens getting married?
blarpwlms: I think it's a good idea, and will be a good experience for younger kids to know what marriage in the future might be like for them.
Me: Are you married?
blarpwlms: No.
Me: Do you know anyone that is married?
blarpwlms: I think Mariah is, wait, no, she isn't. No, I don't know anyone married.
Me: Do you know anyone with a baby?
blarpwlms: No.
Me: Which brings me to my next question, what do you think about the babies?
blarpwlms: I think that it is interesting! I think they might be able to learn from it!
Me: Would you ever have a baby?
blarpwlms: I don't know.
Me: Thank you for your time!

Thank you Mariah and blarpwlms! They both have very strong points, and I agree with both!

Thanks! This is reporter Littlesweetkitty signing off! Have a good day!
