What's New This Week
Have you had a race at the SmarCars Arena yet? I've been following the
races all week, and I'm thrilled to announce that this new addition to
Whyville is a true hit!
Despite its popularity, SmartCars is still confusing to many. Lucky for
us all, Slim, the brother of Virgil and Bea, arrives in Whyville this week
and has set up his Speed Shop at the arena. If you need help figuring
out how to work a SmartCar, Slim is your man. Pay him a visit, but try not
to distract him too much -- he is a bit accident prone...
And speaking of races, I'm sure you've all noticed the Whyville experimental
version of the US Presidential race. By voting, Whyvillians are helping to find
out if other forms of ballots might work better than the one in use today.
It's also a chance to get involved in the political process.
I have an exclusive message from City Hall:
"There's been talk about Whyville having its own elected board of City Council
members. But are Whyvillians really that interested in politics?
This experimental presidential election could be a good way to tell. I think
that if we get at least 1000 votes, then it'll be worthwhile to have
a Whyville City Council election."

Well, you heard it here first. We need at least 1000 votes, so if you care
about Whyville having its own City Council, vote, and get all your friends to vote!
As we're all finding out, EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
Vote, vote, vote!
