Newbie or Noobie?

You've seen them around. Those cute little tater heads. Some have face parts from Grandma's and others are sneezing with virtual red bumps all over the place.

We have so many names for these little guys and girls, like tater heads, smiley guys and, as I call them, the younger generation.

But what about Newbie? Ah yes, the one that everyone knows and everyone's been at one time.

But what about Noobie? Oh, yeah the double O's. I think someone mad at me called me that when I was a smiley face.

So really, what is the real spelling? Newbie or Noobie? I guess the Newbie Centre is spelt with "New" at the start of the word. But then how did Noobie get started?

We need to do some investigation. Does anyone know anything about this?
