I know that there is software out there that is made for hacking. I don't think it, I know it from personal experience. I do not own any of these programs, but I do know a lot about them.

Before I go on with my story, you must understand what an online forum is. The technical definition for a forum is 'a discussion group accessible through the internet.' A forum is much like a bulletin board; users can submit postings for all to read and discuss.

Who knew that a simple little forum for chatting could hold many secrets of hacking and cheating inside? I didn't know until a few months ago. Here's my story.

One rainy Saturday morning, I was home alone. My mother was shopping with my sisters, and my father had gone into work that day to finish a project. Anyway, I was pretty bored that day. Nothing was on television and none of my friends were on Whyville. Aw, man.

I thought for a bit, until I decided to play a game. What game can I play by myself? Well, there were the Whyville games. But I said to myself, I'm not into thinking today. Plus, my salary is pretty high, too. I wanted to play something exciting. Then it hit me. Miniclip.com! There are many games on that website, including action! So I went to Miniclip.com to play my favorite game at the time, Surf's Up.

I did pretty well at that game that day, if I do say so myself. I decided to take a chance and submit my name to the highscore list. To my surprise, I didn't make it on. Then I realized why. The scores there were all in the millions! Some even billions! My pathetic score of 60,000 would never make it!

I looked at the names, and I saw that every single name was the same. It wasn't exactly a name, though; it was a website address. I was very curious, so I typed the address into my browser, and there I was. It was a forum, the kind of place I talked about earlier in my article.

There were many different topics to write in and discuss, but they were all about one significant thing: hacking. Now, this wasn't just normal hacking. This was very advanced hacking. Nothing like Whyville scammers who just ask for a password, or manipulate people into giving away the wrong information.

These hackers actually used a software called 'tsearch'. The different threads all talked about hacking games on the miniclip website, Neopets (which I used to play when I was younger, so that caught my eye), and many other things. They all used this 'tsearch' software, so if you didn't have it, you couldn't do it.

Some so-called 'help' threads introduced hacking and what type of software to use on different games. The person who set up this forum said in his threads, "Flash games are so easy to hack, I could do it with my eyes closed!" He even had pictures he took while hacking with captions on how to hack, step by step.

I know that many Whyvillians have or still do play on Neopets.com, so if you have or know of the site, this will interest you. The host said that when you hack Neopets, you can get as many "neopoints" as you want and put any item into your items list. One of his many picture examples of 'step by step hacking' was how to hack the "potatoe game" on Neopets.

It was awful reading these proud hackers' successes. Luckily, after reading many of the posts, it seemed there was nothing about our beloved Whyville and how to hack it. But before everyone wipes the sweat off their foreheads, read this:

The host of the forum answered one person's question of "What websites can and cannot you hack?"

His answer was: "You can hack ANY SITE you want, as long as you have a good version of 'tsearch' or any other softwares that are good for your computer."

I did not understand all of the directions to hack websites, for I do not own the software. And so, I don't know how to stop them from hacking accounts. To try to ease your mind, let me tell you, I realized that their way of hacking didn't seem to ruin anything for others (most of the time). Still, they seemed to not care about anything except themselves. Sounds selfish, but it does seem better than than using hacking tools to ruin other's hard work. I think that if they did hack Whyville, most of them would just make themselves have huge amounts of clams and face parts. In light of that, I have to tell the richest Whyvillian in Whyville (the one with over 14 million clams) to watch out for yourself if you are innocent! It does sound pretty odd to have that many clams.

Well, I hope that all of your questions from the article "There's a Better Way to Hack", by Dancer153, or any other articles have been answered in my article. If you have other questions, ymail me!

Editor's Note: Excellent investigation, Jilly3! One small piece of good news I can give you: City Hall assures me that Whyville's richest citizen absolutely earned her clams the honest way. :-)
