Whyville is a wonderful place, and for many of us it's a way to get
away from the dangerous world outside of our computer room. I'm not
saying it's good to be trying to get away all the time and not face
life's challenges, but lets face it -- we all need a break.
There is so much bad stuff circulating throughout the world these days
-- drugs, alcohol, you know, that kind of stuff. And, of course,
there's peer pressure, "Come on, try it! It'll make you feel really
good! It won't hurt you!" We all stand up to that kind of stuff
everyday at school, from the petty to the tough stuff, and no one likes
it, I'm pretty sure of that.
Let's cut to the chase though. I'm here today to talk to you about the
dangers of crystal meth.
Crystal meth is an extremely addictive drug, made using stuff like
Draino (like what you clean your drain pipes with -- gross!) and
anhydrous ammonia (a chemical farmers use on their crops!) and many
other poisonous chemicals. Personally, I can't see why anyone would
want to be smoking anything like that! People say the high is
incredible -- unlike anything else -- but is it really worth it?
Lots of times, people who use crystal meth have third-degree burns on
their faces, because anhydrous ammonia is a chemical, so when you light
up that pipe... well, you do the math. Right now, there are many people
using crystal meth because it's inexpensive, highly addictive and
available.
Isn't it disgusting to think about how there are 12-year-old kids out
there addicted to this? There are also adults, and teens like ourselves
-- crystal meth is something that should be stopped, and I strongly
urge you that if there is anyone you know or have seen using crystal
meth at school, find out their name and tell your teacher or principal!
We want to put a stop to crystal meth -- and all other drugs!
This is IciOrange saying, stay safe, stay away from drugs!!!
