Many of you may be familiar with the song "It's a Hard-Knock Life" from
the hit musical "Little Orphan Annie." I thought it might be fun to
write a parody having to do with the famous low-carbohydrate diet.

Fake chocolate, 'stead of real
No sugars, in our meal

No bread to speak of, so
Can't eat rice and beans, we know
Carnivorious, don't eat grain
On the scale, lose don't gain

Skinny people have no worries at all
They can eat and pig out until they're full
We miss out on the roller coaster ride
But we manage to hold on to our pride
Don't you feel like your stomach's always growling?
When you know you just gotta diet right
You get hungry and wanna throw the towel in
But you grab a can of tasty Diet Sprite!!!

Lotsa seafood life
Eggs and cheesy life
Makes me queasy life
Desserts we never eat
Ice cream, what's that? Not meat!
Never eat muffins or cake
Low-carb meals is all we bake

At least thinner than we been
Eating noodles is a sin
