Our computer's been down, so I hadn't been on Whyville for a little
while. Everything's different now.
When I first got back, I looked at the
calendar of announcements and saw there was a Senate Debate scheduled
already. Wow.
It seemed to me we'd just announced sftbll12 as our new Senator!
So that means now that Sonner's six month term is up.
I looked through Sonner's platform and saw he wanted to have a big
city-wide vote to ask citizens if we should have plots or not. He also
wanted to have bank accounts for us,
get the mall up and running, and he later suggested a Times Building.
Sonner was the candidate. Everyone I know loved him and he sure
got in for
the election. Six months
later, though, what has happened?
I know Sonner has been working on building the Times Building with the
City Workers, but what about his other ideas? A city wide vote
has not been issued. It's been talked about at Senate meetings,
but nothing really happened. The mall is still pretty much the same
and a bank is nowhere near existing.
Is six months too short
to accomplish anything? Do we need a longer period for our Senators? Is
there anything else we can do to support our Senators and make sure
they can accomplish what we want?
I'm not putting down Sonner or the CWs. I realize these things
don't just happen. I'm just suggesting that maybe we should just look
at a longer period
of time for our Senators to do things.
This is dancer, hoping I haven't lost my writing touch.
