As most Whyvillians know, the Senate Debate was held last Saturday,
October 22. At the time, City Hall said the voting for our next Senator
would begin soon after the debate ended. It didn't.
This is because the City Workers wanted to have the official transcript
from the debate posted here in the Times before folks started voting.
Problem is, that took several days, because the debate was held over
the weekend. And so, the voting didn't actually start until Wednesday.
The polls will remain open until next Wednesday; be sure you read the
transcript of the debate as well as the three candidates' platforms
before you vote! Keep your mind open, and choose the best person
possible to represent you and your fellow citizens.
On a side note, City Workers have heard a rumor that one of the
candidates may have had their account hacked. They ask that you voters
not worry about it -- just go ahead and vote for one of the three
candidates as usual. The CWs will take care of these concerns during
and after the election, if it becomes necessary.
Vote smart,
Times Editor
