Tune: "The Ex," By Billy Talent
So entered my password, never knew anything changed, but when I got in
there was quite a change, but when I got in there was quite a, change.
And so I sat in my house for 27 days, no it never changed
And I had something to say
And no it never changed and I had something to saaay.
Well I dunno much and I don't know why.
Why did it have go through a change, I would have given my clams for
her, she was the one that got knocked over and now I'm alone sitting in
my corner
Well back in the day, where it was all good play
It was a great day, never thought she would change, it was a great day,
never thought it would, change.
Well it felt like a knife every time they now say, "Just shut up and
move," every time they now say, "Just shut up and move!" Every time
they
say.
Well I dunno much and I don't know why.
Why did it have go through a change, I would have given my clams for
her,
she was the one that got knocked over and now I'm alone sitting in my
corner
Why did it have go through a change, I would have given my clams for
her,
she was the one that got knocked over and now I'm alone sitting in my
corner.
End of Song
I wrote this article to try to describe to people the change in
Whyville.
I've heard that chat was a lot more organized, long ago. There used to
be designated topics in designated rooms at designated times! Extremely
few people were "bad" or "inappropriate". I myself find it kind of sad
that City Management probably gets at least a hundred 911 reports a day.
Think about what you do in Whyville.
Whyville is a privilege, not a right.
Before I go, I want to thank the Y-mail Helpers for helping people who
deserve it.
And I want to thank the City Workers for running this place, even
though we are short on money and they probably don't get paid what
they're worth. In the past they didn't always get their money on time
-- I'm glad they do now.
Think about what you do in Whyville.
Whyville is a privilege, not a right.
Respect it.

Editor's
Note: Thanks for your song and your article, Alan18. I should
clear up something that's gotten to be a popular rumor about Whyville:
We never actually had "designated topics" at "designated times,"
despite what some folks might say or even remember. Dr. Leila's Pool
Party did have scheduled times that citizens and City Workers were
encouraged to come, but I think that was more so that people would see
each other, rather than have specific thing to talk about... yep,
Whyville once had so few folks around that we had to schedule times to
get together! :-)
