Where is our pilot?

For people new to Whyville, or those who just forgot about our kind pilot, he used to fly in his little red plane over Whyville Square, trailing advertisements behind him, ads that Whyville citizens bought from the Ad Agency. No one really cared about or appreciated our hard working pilot. That is, no one cared until he tragically crashed into Dr. Leila's house!

After the accident, City Workers told us he was fine, and recovering from surgery... well, that's what they reported, at least. I decided to go see him for myself, to decide what was true!

Angelbet: *rings door bell* Hellooo, anyone home?
Pilot: Who is it??
Angelbet: Angelbet, from Whyville. I am here to write a report for the Times.
Pilot: Oh, yes, angelbet, come right in.
Angelbet: Thank you!
Angelbet: So, how are you feeling since you crashed?
Pilot: Okay. All your friendship cards and flowers have helped, though -- I really love them!
Angelbet: That's good to hear! We all miss you!
Angelbet: Do you know when you'll be coming back to us?
Pilot: Soon, I hope.
Angelbet: Well, thank you for your time.
Pilot: Thank you, and please tell everyone that I miss them too....
Angelbet: I will. Get well soon!

So there you have it folks, our pilot should be back soon! Keep those flowers, prayers and cards coming!

Editor's Note: The pilot may be pretty much fully recovered from his accident, but City Hall and the folks at the Ad Agency haven't decided whether to restart the business or not. Turns out there are some concerns about continuing to have the ads flying Whyville Square -- keep reading the Times to learn the latest about this story!
