When you go for a walk, or simply drink a glass of milk, did you
realize how much good you were doing for your body? Being healthy is
one of the most important things in life. You should always try and
stay healthy!
Here are a few ways you can try to keep yourself feeling nice and
refreshed:
1. Be Optimistic: When you feel
sick or got caught with a cold, you
should realize that most of it is all in your head! Try and feel happy.
Smile when somebody does something nice to you. Always look out for the
good side of things! For an example, if you see a half filled glass of
your favorite drink, always think positive. Say it's half filled
instead of saying it's half empty!
2. Meditate: Meditation is a
soothing art discovered in the olden
times. I suggest a good meditation class, or, just simply sit in a
nice, quite room, and breath in and out... SLOWLY!
3. Eat: EAT! You should always
eat something in the morning, afternoon
and evening (some folks eat smaller meals more often, too). Food gives
you energy and keeps you alert on what's going on! But try not to eat
anything that's greasy or something with too much sugar. Most of that
usually turns into fat or something equally bad for you. The healthy
portions are always better, like fruits, veggies, etc.
4. Drink: As much as eating,
you should also drink! Especially water!
Did you know that your body is almost 90% water? AMAZING! Always make
sure
that you at least 8 litres of water per day. What else is important?
MILK! Milk gives calcium and is extremely useful if you want to get rid
of a tan, because it also has vitamin D, which helps your skin heal.
5. Fresh Air: Instead of being
stuck in your stuffy room, go out side
and breathe the fresh air! Take a walk! But make sure you don't go to a
place with to much pollution. That my friend, is unhealthy.
There's just a few things you can do to stay healthy. Here are two
things you should NOT do!
Smoke cigarettes, chew tobacco, etc.
-- There are a lot of bad things of smoking: it causes bad
breath, burns out lungs, and even gives cancer! Take my advice: stay
cool, and do NOT smoke!
Be pessimistic -- Even if you
are shy, it isn't as bad as being
pessimistic. Pessimism can cause stress and can make your friends
or acquaintances start to dislike you!
After following a couple of the good rules myself, I found out that
doing
at least two of them should make you healthier!
Being healthy is one of the main
concerns of life, so remember: Being healthy equals
being happy! :D
