The sky is pale blue
As it fills with a breeze
Bright colored leaves
Drift from branches with ease
In the shape of a V
Birds soar up above
And every child
Is bundled with love
The strong scent of fresh
Apple cider is present
The crackling of a fire
Can be heard; oh how pleasant
My lungs are filled
With crisp, cool air
Squirrels scurry madly
Burying nuts with care
The mailman looks up
As if to say
Don't you simply adore
An autumn day?
