I have been making friends on Whyville a lot -- that's good. But are you ready
for the bad part? I have been talking to this one guy -- I'll keep him anonymous
for now -- and, well, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I don't online
date, so if you don't online date too, this is going to be so funny for you.
I was laughing when the guy did it.
Like I said, he asked me to be his girlfriend... I said no, of course. And
then he started making all kinds of other accounts that had names like his original
screenname, but he made them look like girls. I saw him on one of those girl
accounts and "she" said, "He said he really likes you a lot"
and "You should be his girlfriend." Of course I said "No!"
and left. Now here's the bad part:
Me: Hi.
Him: Hi.
Me: What's up?
Him: nm, u?
Me: Same here.
Him: Wanna be my girlfriend?
Me: No, sorry, but I don't online date.
Him: Please.
Me: Sorry but no. Now please stop asking.
Him: Fine.
Me: Well, we can be friends if you want, though.
Him: OK.
Me: asl? (age sex location)
Him: 17/male/Wis
Me: Oh.
Him: You?
Me: 16/female/(removed by the Editor)
Him: Cool.
Me: Yeah, I guess.
A few days later, my friend ran into him and they talked, too:
My friend: Hey.
Him: Hey
My Friend: asl?
Him: 18/male/Wis
My Friend: I thought you were 17.
Him: Nope, why?
My Friend: Just wondering
Him: Oh.
My Friend: Bye.
Him: Bye.
I hope you see that you should just be aware of the lying that can go on. I
mean, there's no way to know whether this person is really 17 or 18... or a
lot, lot older... or even a lot younger.
Thanks for reading!
