When the senatorial elections first came out I was like, hey, I should try and run for senator! It was new and fun, something new to do... yet the campaigning was hard. It seemed like everyone in Whyville was running for senator.

Now that we have been through a couple of elections, things have turned around. The elections need to have some sort of rules put in place to change it, or they need to be cut totally.

I'm not against the people who are the senators of Whyville or against the people who are running for senator, just against the idea of senatorial elections. Oreobaby is my friend and Sonner is a respected Whyvillian, yet what I have seen in the elections are popularity contests.

In the last election, some of the people who submitted senatorial platforms into the petition booth and who actually got into the polls were just trying to see how many votes they were going to get! They actually didn't want to become the senator, they just saw it as a big popularity contest!

If this continues, I can imagine the Whyville Senate will crash and clash big time when they meet up to discuss ideas on how to improve Whyville.

If the senatorial elections stick around Whyville, you people who submit platforms should be serious about it. Do not just do this as a joke!
