Holiday Traditions

Christmas is right around the corner!

I bet you've felt the coldness in the air (unless you live in California or Florida or somewhere else that has warm weather year round) and the joy and craziness of the holidays in your home-town. We feel it here in Whyville too!

I interviewed a few Whyvillians to learn and listen about their holiday traditions.

My first interviewee was Dumpweed:

Me: What is the top thing on your Christmas list this year?
Dumpweed: A car or to get my lip pierced. Hehehe! I know it sounds dumb.
Me: No, not at all. What would you say was your favorite part of Christmas?
Dumpweed: The giving and the getting of presents.
Me: Do you like the snow?
Dumpweed: NO! I hate it!
Me: Where do you usually celebrate Christmas Eve?
Dumpweed: At my house or my Auntie's house.
Me: What is your favorite ornament you put on the tree each year?
Dumpweed: Ummm... my horse.

My next interviewee was blondie01.

Me:What is on the top of your Christmas list?
Blondie01: The top thing on my Christmas list is a new computer.
Me: Oh, what kind?
Blondie01: A Gateway.
Me: Cool! Well anyways, what is your favorite part of Christmas?
Blondie01: My favorite part of Christmas is eating at my Grandma's house, because I never see her.
Me: Do you like the snow?
Blondie01: I love the snow!
Me: Where do you usually celebrate Christmas Eve?
Blondie01: At my Grandparents' house.
Me: What is your favorite ornament you put on the tree every year?
Blondie01: My favorite ornament is the pretty angel we put at the top!

My last interviewee was Sari.

Me: What is the top thing on your Christmas list?
Sari: Oh, you know, a few CD's, jeans, and sneakers.
Me: What is your favorite part of Christmas?
Sari: It's not just the presents, I hate being greedy, but I think it's seeing your family and all your relatives.
Me: Do you like the snow?
Sari:Yea! Snow is the best!
Me: Where do you usually celebrate Christmas Eve?
Sari: We have Christmas Eve at my house. Then, on Christmas Day, after gifts and stuff, we go to my Grandmother's.
Me: What is your favorite ornament to put on the tree each year?
Sari: My fave ornament is a picture of me sitting on Santa's knee when I was 2 years old.

Well I hope I got a few Whyvillians into the holiday spirit! I hope to get some more!

Signing out, your holiday columnist, ~*~Sparkles~*~
