Chapter 1: A Newbie Christmas

It was Christmas Eve, and I, Lindsey99, was on Whyville, chatting to a couple of people I'd just met. Although most of them were ignoring me because I had a very cheap-looking face, I was having a considerably good day on Whyville. Well, at least better than last night.

I was about to go shopping at Akbar's for some affordable Chirstmas presents for my friends when I saw that I had sent a ClamGram to someone for 150 clams, which was my entire savings, since I had only been on Whyville a short period of time.

For a second I thought, who would I send 150 clams to? I mean, I really didn't have any friends I would clamgram that much. Then I knew what had happened. My account had been hacked into.

Clicking with fear, I went into Info and Preferences to change my password. Luckily, it hadn't already been changed by the thief. For the rest of the evening I was kinda sad, but after a while chatting took my mind off of it....

After a long time, it was about eight o'clock, and many Whyvillians had gathered in the Square to talk before Chirstmas Day arrived. Most of the people were talking about how they decorated their houses with beautiful, extravagent, Chirstmas trees, with many ornaments on them.

Others were telling each other what they were going to give their friends on Chirstmas Eve. But I stood alone from the crowd, hoping that someone would come and get me something for Christmas, or at the least wish me a happy one.

Then I started asking nicely some of the richer Whyvillians to spare me 10 clams so I could buy some presents, but they all laughed in my face, telling me to stop begging and earn some. They didn't understand me. I mean, how was I supposed to earn 10 clams in an hour? My salary was 5, and I hadn't signed up for any Treasure Hunts.

I was broke on the worrying night of Chirstmas. What was I to do? My other friends who were also newbies expected at least a cheap little thing from me, and I knew they were going to get me something. What was I supposed to do? What could I do...?

Chapter 2 -- How I Survived Christmas in Whyville

I strolled the lonely sidewalk to Grandma's, hoping she had something in store for me there, but of course nothing was there. I went back to Whyville Square to ask some more for some clams, but no one would even consider it.

Why me? Why not some rich person? I mean they should know how it feels to be a newbie sometimes.

I stared at the clock on the Whyville bus, yes it was finally midnight! That meant it was finally Christmas Day, and I had no clams and no presents to give. That's when I noticed I had mail.

I clicked onto my cellphone... to find a message that said that rich_gurl2007 had mailed me a Christmas present of... oh my gosh! 100 clams!! Instantly, I bought all my friends as many presents as I could!

This must have been the best Whyville Christmas ever!!!

THE END
