Have you ever had a face part rejected, but then maybe a week
or so later you were shopping and saw one almost exactly like it? You probably
thought to yourself, "Why was that one accepted, but not mine?"
My theory is that Akbar isn't completely fair on accepting
face parts. What proof do I have, you might ask. Well, let's review the facts,
shall we?
1. You are not allowed to make certain body parts such as legs,
right? Try doing a part search on leg and see what you come up with.
You'll probably see something called "Frog leg 1 & 2" How did
that get accepted? It can't fit anywhere else except for a leg.
Editor's Note: What's important to consider
is that most of the parts you see that don't fit the rules were accepted before
Akbar established those rules clearly and concretely in the last year or so.
People who designed parts months and months ago are still making them, and not
all of those could get accepted today.
2. NO war related items, huh? Then how did there used to be
parts such as "Links shield" and "lightsabres"? And if you
do a search on sword you will find something called "element sword."
And that's obviously a weapon.
Editor's Note: As you said yourself, there
used to be these parts -- they're not allowed anymore. Actually, Akbar
used to have an assistant who was a big Star Wars fan, so he's probably the
one who accepted the light sabres anyway. ;-)
3. (This one is more of the Face Factory's fault than Akbar.)
Even when you have a WhyPass, you still can't always get into the Face Factory.
Most of the time, no one can get into the Factory, right? Even if you just bought
that great WhyPass. I tried what a friend suggested and went to the Face Factory
at 1a.m., 2 a.m., 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Every time, it was still too busy. In all
of Whyville, I think there was maybe 20 other people in total. So how could
it be busy? I have no idea!
Editor's Note: As everybody who buys a WhyPass
should know, the Pass gives you priority access to Whyville and
the Factory. That means you're first in line when you try to log in to Whyville
or the Factory. But it doesn't guarantee there's not someone in front of you,
or that there's not a big pile of parts to be accepted and constructed before
anyone can design a new part. There's no way to get in front of everyone, even
for City Workers! :-)
I hope this answers a few of your questions...
