A wonderful Saturday
Turned from happiness to gloom
Because of the rain
I'm confined to my room

The sun decided to hide
Behind the clouds so grey
And it started to rain
Ruining my perfectly planned day

Inside the house
There's nothing to do
But lay in bed
Feeling ever so blue

My little sister came and nudged me
She said, "Why don't we play?"
I don't even look up, but I reply:
"Haven't you noticed? It's raining today."

She suggested many things
Like coloring books and board games
I agreed to "play"
Though I thought it was lame

I hate to admit
My sis is kinda neat
She's like a whole new girl
I never had the pleasure to meet

I begin to stop
Missing the sun
Instead I start
To have some fun

Even though
I'd rather be riding my bike
If I have to play inside
I'm sure I'll find something I like
