As a curious citizen, of course I was wondering who people were voting for in
the current Senate election, and also why. So I decided to investigate.
Here are a few of your fellow citizens and their responses
to my question. I chose not to include the people they voted for, just so no
one would get mad at them because of who they did or did not vote for.
My question was: Who did you vote for and why? After
each person's comments, I've included my own responses.
Firch: I voted for _______, because I like her
ideas, and I just think she'd make a great senator. I think she wouldn't be
voted for anything like being a designer or anything, I've never really seen
her before, and I think she should be voted for actually on her ideas. :D
Me: Yes, even if you've never heard of the person doesn't mean
they couldn't be a good senator.
Oceanic: I voted ________ because I agreed with his platform
and I believed he could make a change in Whyville. He had lots of interesting
ideas. I liked his idea of fixing the filtering systems; they're just too sensitive.
Me: Yes, I have to agree, sometimes the filtering systems are
too sensitive.
Anonymous: I voted for _______ because I thought
that her ideas were good, and also she has been on a while, so she knows what
she is doing. Her best ideas were about lots and a bank. Lots of things.
Me: What does being on a while have anything to do with it?
Anonymous: Like I said before -- she would know what she was
doing. She probably knows a lot more about Whyville than others might.
Me: Being on longer is a good thing, but being on a short amount
of time isn't necessarily a bad thing.
LexMax: I did not vote yet because I am still
looking for a good senator.
Me: A good voter always makes sure their vote is going to who
they really want to vote for!
Kelse05: I voted for _______ because I think
she'd make a good senator because she has many good ideas. While she has not
made a famous name for herself, she has written a few articles and has a lot
of good ideas that could really help Whyville grown into a better community.
Of her ideas, I'd like the person finder -- that'd be AWESOME! LoL.
Me: Having articles published in the Times does show good participation
in Whyville, I think.
So, it seems most people vote for the ideas. That means, I believe, that the
winner must be very creative.
Good luck to all candidates, and thanks to the people I interviewed.
