Just yesterday,
I looked the other way
A soft horizon to bask in light
It hung itself against the silver slate
Like a sheet to dangle
As it veiled this life
Instead of gray
I chose to dip my brush in pink
And powdered over wispy silk of mares
And splashing over streaks
Tangerine
It was now coral froth
Light like orange
But barely there
But this paradise of mine
It isn't my destiny
I had to continue towards that gray
And the slow and drooping clouds
Daring to tug at my sleeve
And every day I doubt the return of day
This is all I can see
All I'll ever know
A memory once leaves me
I'm sedated by that glow
