Many of you may already wonder, "What is a CDC?"

Well, CDC stands for Centers for Disease Control. There's an American one based in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Whyville one, based out of City Hall.

What? Disease, you ask? What disease is that?

In Whyville, it's the contagious Why-Pox disease. For those of you who doesn't know what the Pox is, I recommend you look up past Times articles for more info.

If you head over to the Whyville CDC, you can use programs like the Infection Simulator and the Epidemic Simulator -- in these 'labs', you analyze how the Pox is spreading through Whyville.

Most recently, the CDC has been updated and now has better analyzing tools in both the levels of the Infection Simulator. After each time you infect various number of people, you can write about what you think will happen. Then, you will see the results of the process and you get your score. Finally, you can post what you have learned in the BBS.

By the way, you can get to the Whyville CDC by clicking on your Navigation Bar and selecting "CDC".
