Have you gone through your satchel lately? If you have, you have probably noticed a new icon up at the top of the page. It is a place for storing food.

When I first saw this, I thought to myself, "What do you mean, food?" I couldn't figure out its purpose. I was so curious to find out! Recently, I got a Y-mail that was sent to Y-mail Helpers about it. I decided to get creative and write it up as though I'd had the chance to interview City Worker scyllaCat.

Here's my "inside scoop":

qtgirl003: I noticed a new icon in my satchel -- it is a place for storing food. Could you tell me a little bit about it?
Scyllacat: Ok, well, first off, we will have three types of things in the 'food' area: human food, dog food and vaccines.

qtgirl003: What are the vaccines for?
Scyllacat: The vaccines will help in some way with Why-Pox outbreaks.

qtgirl003: Nice! What about the food?
Scyllacat: Well, human food will be part of a nutrition game we'll be releasing later this year (maybe before summer.) The basic idea is that you'll have to eat the right balance of foods to keep healthy. You will have to pay clams for this food. This game may be optional, so you might not have to participate if you don't want to.

qtgirl003: That sounds like fun! What about the dog food?
Scyllacat: Dog food: You may start seeing stray dogs wandering around Whyville. Dog biscuits can be used to have them sit near you. Since we don't sell biscuits in a store yet, keep an eye out for dog biscuits that are just sitting on the ground. Touch them to pick them up and use the command 'drop dog biscuit' to drop them. We have more planned for dogs (and other pets) in the future, but this will likely be the first stage.

qtgirl003: Wow, my very own pet! That's a great idea! Thanks for your information and time, I really appreciate it Scyllacat!
Scyllacat: Any time, qtgirl003! I hope this solved all of your questions!

Editor's Note: Thanks for your creative "interview", qtgirl003!! Folks, if you have a creative way of presenting information like this -- where you didn't actually do the interview, for example, but want to write it up like you did -- be sure to explain that to your Editor first. Otherwise it's very questionable journalism. If you make it sound like you did an interview you didn't do, neither I nor your readers will be able to trust you next time you want to write!

This brings up AbBayb290's interesting article in this week's paper. She wrote a piece on journalistic ethics. What do you think about this question of ethics? Does it matter if qtgirl003 actually interviewed scyllaCat in this article, as long as the information she describes is correct? Why?
