The Whyville Center for Disease Control (CDC) is worried another WhyPox might hit soon.
Whyville has suffered 3 outbreaks of the Pox since 2002. CDC scientists have been feverishly working on anything that might mitigate the effects of the WhyPox on citizens. In the past, the Pox has affected the speech of sufferers -- periodic sneezes make it very difficult for anyone with the Pox to communicate in chat.
The CDC has finally discovered a vaccine for the WhyPox. Unfortunately, the CDC doesn't have the resources to manufacture enough the vaccine for everyone in Whyville.
The CDC's interesting solution was to distribute the vaccine to the 10,000 citizens it decided were most at risk of contracting the Pox, should it appear again. We've been told that even if a citizen has been given a WhyPox Vial, it takes at least 3 doses to assure complete immunity to the Pox; furthermore, it takes a few hours for each dose to permeate the body and take effect.
So, if you are one of the luckies with a Vial, what should you do? Should you ingest your vial immediately? You could, as long as you plan to get two more vials and ingest them too. Or, maybe you should save your vial and trade it with someone else. How many clams is immunity to the WhyPox worth???
