A common question nowadays is, "Why me?"
YOU can stop hackers and scammers. It starts with never giving out your password
to anyone. ANYONE.
Then you have to make sure your password is impossible to guess. Put numbers
in the middle of it. Make some letters capitalized. Don't use real words, even!
But what if it happens anyway? Even the best of us slip up sometimes.
"WHAT? I was HACKED?" you say, staring at your empty bank account.
You feel assaulted, invaded. You feel mad.
I know, you probably think that this could never happen to you. Those who this
has happened to, you know that it stinks, BADLY.
After a friend of mine was hacked/scammed, I started to investigate. She had
no idea who did it, and didn't even realize she could get a really good idea
who it was. I didn't know either, when I started. But I learned.
The following is a step-by-step instruction on how to find out that crook's
name, or at least the name of an account they probably have access to.
Now, it's possible they sent clams to that person simply to make them look
bad. I've even heard of clams being sent to City Workers! So it's not a guarantee
-- but it is a good guide. And by knowing who probably hacked or scammed you,
you might be able to figure out how it all happened in the first place.
Hope you find who did it!
