Now-a-days, adults want to watch children do everything. We need permission to go across the street, use the phone, get a library card, and even to play on websites! I understand that adults are doing this to try and keep us safe, but they won't always be there.

Now, I'm not saying that kids should be able to run free, drive cars, and have credit cards. That would be a mess. But don't you think that if we send our parent's e-mail address with a registration for a website, and they approve, wouldn't you say that that's permission enough?

For example, Whyville's "Permission Slip." My mom doesn't have a printer, and my library's printers cost money to use, as do many others. I'm sure that other people have encountered the same or similar problems; therefore, making the permission slips bogus, useless, and unnecessary for many users.

Please, staff and fellow citizens of Whyville: Will you join me in trying to overthrow the power-crazed adults of the world?
