Yup, it's that time again, the Senate Race is here! This past weekend, many people rushed to make their Senate platforms, hoping to get into one of the top three positions and maybe, become another Whyville Senator. They will be joining all the past Senators and helping Whyville with ideas that may make it a better town for newbies and veterans alike. Many others will find the platforms and then make the decision of which one to sign. But the question is: Which one to choose?

I can relate to this question myself. When I experienced voting for a platform for the first time, I read many, but didn't know which one to pick. I eventually picked one, but it was an extremely hard decision. I also remember how many there were, and I read mostly just the ones at the top. Well, although now I still have a hard decision picking, I have a better way of choosing the one (in my opinion) that is the best.

The first thing I learned is that you don't have to make your decision after reading three or four platforms. You have lots of time to pick one, and try to read not only ones at the top, but in the middle and at the bottom, so you can see exactly what people are offering. Be aware of the titles, so you can tell which ones you might need to skip. The titles that say things like, "A million clams a day," aren't usually worth your time. Go for the ones with titles that catch your eye, or seem interesting. Then read it, and see if you agree with the ideas that person has. The point is you want to vote for a person with reasonable ideas, that you can relate to, or you may have had yourself.

The last (and very controversial) tip I can give you and not stress enough, is try not to pick for the most popular, pretty, handsome, or wealthy candidate. Don't let your friend pick for you, go read them yourself, and sign yourself. Sign someone's because of his or her ideas, not because of clams or hair.
