One day I was online with nothing to do when I decided to go on Whyville. As I logged on I was wondering how many y-mails I had received. Once I got to my welcome page I noticed that I had four y-mails and they were all from the same person. They were from IcityHall and read:
"Hello my name is Shelby. I am from City Hall. I have noticed that a lot of kids have been using inappropriate behavior and language. This is a very serious matter. This has got to stop. So the workers at City Hall have been working on this project for 8 years already and we finally came to a conclusion. We made a program in which you just give us your password and your name, age, and address and all we do is send that information to the Whyville headquarters. They then fax us your certificate and we send it to you. The certificate tells you and us if you have been using inappropriate behavior or language. Everyone has to do this, if you don't then we will have to get you off Whyville permanently, so please just give us the information about you and you're set!"
Well, what made me a little suspicious was when I clicked "See all mail sent from City Hall" there were no messages. I also knew that Whyville didn't even exist in 1997. He wasn't even wearing the City Worker beanie, instead he was wearing the Club Why Hat. I immediately reported him. This just goes to show you that hackers are getting pretty tricky. So if you ever have a y-mail looking like this please don't answer!
Much Love,
