Deep in the depths of my heart, there is a child inside.
Hiding, alone and afraid,
Scared of the bright summers to fade
Only hoping for enchantments to become,
And imagination to further swell like bubble gum.
Seeking for the magical creatures that await beside my bed at night,
The ones that give the moon a luminous light
The ones that go away when winter casts the spirits to sleep
The ones that give you intangibles to keep
I never thought I would see these beautiful spirits of my heart again,
For I grew up, but wished to never forget them
Sometimes I still see shadows by my bed, as I am tucked in tight.
I believe they will always elucidate the light,
In the core of my heart,
Where they will be enclosed in my memory, never more apart.
