One song in a movie I like called The Blues Brothers is called, "Everybody Needs Somebody." The chorus goes like this:

Everybody needs somebody
Everybody needs somebody to love
Someone to love
Sweetheart to miss
Sugar to kiss
I need you, you, you
I need you, you, you
I need you, you, you . . .

I urge you to be that somebody to someone you don't know. We all need a friend, and someone you don't know could need you as a friend. If you reach out to someone you don't know, the worst that could happen is that they could not need another friend at the moment and you wouldn't hit it off. The best that could happen is that you could end up being great friends and helping them to get into a your group of trustworthy people to hang around with.

Think about how awesome it would feel to help someone make friends and have a great time. It's really easy too. Just walk up to them and say, "Hi, I'm (insert your name here). What's your name?" I know it can be hard to approach someone you don't know well, but they could introduce you to some awesome clubs that you hadn't known about before, like theater, speech team, or computer club.
