Many of you Whyvillians are probably thinking that I am talking about Whyville, but no, I am talking about real life.
What I am saying is if you are wearing a nose ring (real or fake), most adults are going to think that you're a trouble-maker. If you are with a group of friends and a few are wearing mostly black, then more than likely the store clerk will think that you and your friends are trouble-makers and are going to shoplift. Adults will treat you better if your hair is nicely combed, you are wearing a skirt or a pair of nice jeans, and a nice t-shirt. They probably won't think that you are going to shoplift, Even though sometimes these people are the real culprits.
If you have ever seen The Simpsons, Season Six, the episode with Bart's Girlfriend, you know what I am talking about. Bart's girlfriend looks like she is innocent and adults treat her special just because she looks like a sweetheart. But, when no adults are around she acts like the devil. She steals, lies, cheats, and does a bunch of other things.
So my question to you is this, "Does what we look like really matter?" Ask your parents about what they think. I know that this is a pretty short article but I wanted to get to the point so that's all!
